Fishing Update

Halfway into the season and shaping up for another poor summer. Would not be so bad if it was wet at least there would be some water!
The fishing as usual on Harlaw is superb with fantastic conditioned Rainbows coming off and the odd good Brownie,(no doubt spillover from Threipmuir last year.
Great to see so many Mayfly they seem to be getting larger hatches every year now and the trout although slow are responding to them.We might have to adopt Irish tactics soon!!
Threipmuir is slow with such low water bank fishers are wading out 20 odd yards to get a cast. Some cracking trout coming off though and as usual most are returned.
This is commendable as we need to kick start the water after the drain off.Today is the longest day...so back to winter tomorrow! or have we just missed the summer? PS
Remember to pick up your (or any other) nylon take it home and cut it up before disposing of it think wildlife! Thanks
