Fishing Update

Will this wind ever go away? The weather still seems a bit mixed and turning cold at night. Fishing at Harlaw seems to be quite steady but Threipmuir is hard work in this wind.
On a more serious note I have had reports from the Bailiffs who do a fantastic job for us up there, of individuals giving them verbal abuse. I even heard Police had to be called as people were fishing without permits and were drunk! Now water and Whiskey go quite well after a days fishing but never on the bankside or boat. That is a very dangerous practise and just should not be done. I remember some years ago on a reservoir in fife watching a lad fall over the side of the boat. He was hauled aboard, shocked by his dunking and it turned out he had too much to drink. A luck man to be rescued and he was quickly shown the door of the fishery. The same applies to us. This sort of behaviour will not be tollerated and we will take action on anyone causing problems to our Bailiffs. All our members and I say members because remember this is a private fishery and only allow a few day tickets to people who we welcome to the water. Most people who fish are extremely friendly as are our Bailiffs but there does seem to be the odd person who seems to have issues. These people should go elswhere if things dont suit them here I hope we have no more of this sort of behavior.
PS
Remember to pick up your nylon take it home and cut it up before disposing of it Thanks
